Original acrylic and mixed media on boxed canvas, 18 x 36″ 

I wanted a big sky so settled on 18″ by one yard on which to set the scene. As the painting developed I decided to lose one mountain and make the big one on the right the main focus of attention. The dark sky lit by just one star gave the scene more relevance. But I also brought the viewer down to the very bottom with the relatively small red house, just visible with smoke rising from the chimney. So someone is in the picture but not seen.
